Delegates to the California Democratic State Central Committee include 12 people elected at Assembly District organizing meetings, which are held the second weekend of January. At each AD meeting, 6 women and 6 men are elected to serve two year terms as delegates. One of those delegates is elected as the AD representative to the State Party Executive Board. See below for information about each of the 7 AD Committees in Santa Clara County and where and when their 2009 delegate selection meetings will be held. Residents of the Assembly District who are registered as Democrats are eligible to run or vote at the meeting. Doors close at the start time listed. Registration at each of the meetings begins two hours prior to the posted starting time. For more information about the procedure, visit the California Democratic Party website.

  • 20th AD - Milpitas, Newark, Union City, Fremont.
    The 20th AD Committee will hold its organization meeting on Sunday, January 11, at 11 am, at Chandni's Restaurant, 5748 Mowry School Rd. in Newark.

  • 21st AD - Southern San Mateo County and Palo Alto.
    The delegate election meeting for the 21st AD will be on Saturday, January 10 at 11 am at the Hillview Community Center, Hillview Room, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.

  • 22nd AD - Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, west San Jose.
    The 22nd AD will hold its orgnization meeting on Sunday, January 11, at 3 pm at the Mountain View Community Center, Lower Social Hall, 201 S. Rengstorff Ave., Mountain View.

  • 23rd AD - Most of San Jose.
    The organization meeting for the 23rd AD will be held on Saturday, January 10, at 9:30 in the morning, in the 1st Floor Conference Room of the Alfred Alquist Buildling, 100 Paseo de San Antonio, in downtown San Jose.

  • 24th AD - Saratoga, Campbell, parts of San Jose and Santa Clara.
    The 24th AD organization meeting takes place at 3 pm on Sunday, January 11, at the Campbell Community Center, 1 West Campbell Ave, Roosevelt Room Q-80.

  • 27th AD - Morgan Hill, Watsonville, Santa Cruz.
    The organization meeting for 27th AD Committee will be on Sunday, January 11, at 2 pm, at IBEW Local 234, 10300 Merritt St., Castroville.

  • 28th AD - South Santa Clara County including San Martin and Gilroy.
    The 28th Assembly District will hold its delegate election meeting at 11 am on Sunday, January 11, at Teamster's Union Hall, 831 East Market St., Salinas.
