On Thursday, April 13, 2023, the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee took the following actions:
We adopted an amendment to our local platform to oppose discrimination based on caste, passed a resolution to support adoption of a Community Opportunity to Purchase Act (COPA) in San José, and decided whether to support a number of Assembly and Senate bills, among other items of business.

Five State legislative bills were supported:
- AB 83 – ban political contributions by certain corporations
- AB 309 – re social housing
- ACA 5 – repeal prop 8 and enshrine marriage equality into our state constitution
- SB 525 – $25 minimum wage for healthcare workers
- SB 403 – oppose discrimination on the basis of caste
