Let’s gather virtually and Get Out The Vote for two top-notch Dems competing against conservative opponents in Special Elections!
The first candidate is Christy Smith, who is running for Congress in CA-25 against a right-wing Trump-endorsed opponent. Christy is currently a member of the State Assembly with a proven track record of strong representation in her district. CD-25 is located in Los Angeles and Ventura counties, and the 5/12 special election is mail-in-ballots only (no in-person voting).
The second candidate is Elizabeth Romero, who stands to flip State Senate District 28 BLUE! Elizabeth needs our help to get voters in her district, located in Riverside County, to check the box for her and then drop their ballot in the mail ASAP. This election is also an all-mail ballot election.
This day of action will be kicked off with a Town Hall with CA Democratic Party Chair Rusty Hicks and the candidates at 10:00 a.m. The virtual rally will be followed by an immediate action to make calls to voters in CD-25 and SD-28. You get to choose who you’d like to make calls for — Christy or Elizabeth!
