Dear Friends,
I am writing to invite families who are a part of MVWSD, and directly impacted by their decisions. While my family is only a part of this district for one more year, I feel strongly that we as a community must remain aware of who is making what decisions — decisions that will that directly effect our children’s education.
I am co-hosting a Meet-And-Greet for Christine Case-Lo, who is running for school board. For those of you who have been following what all has been transpiring in MVWSD over the last few months (going back several years), I feel very strongly that we need a trustworthy representative on the board, in order to ensure success for our children’s futures.
I knew of Christine when our children started kindergarten at Mistral together in 2017. She was a dedicated room parent, alongside myself, for the 6 years we were there together. Christine is a dedicated volunteer who puts a tremendous amount of energy into providing enriching experiences for our kids. She’s a passionate advocate for students with special learning needs and has organized awareness campaigns in that area for years. I’ve also seen her lead efforts to organize pandemic art kits for kids, create a lasting class gift from outgoing fifth graders at Mistral, spearhead Passport Day – a large multicultural Girl Scouts event, and put her hand up for countless other tasks that rarely earn her thank you’s or accolades.
Christine’s integrity, empathy and work ethic give me complete confidence in her ability to serve as a school board trustee. It’s my pleasure, along with my co-hosts AK and TC, to invite you to meet Christine and learn more about why she’s running for school board and what she thinks she can offer in the role.
What: Meet Christine Case-Lo and build community (light refreshments will be provided)
When: Sunday, September 15th – 4:30-6:30pm
Where: Kataria Residence – Mariposa Avenue in Mountain View
Please RSVP to christinecaseloforschoolboard@gmail.com so we know how much food and drink to provide. Kids are welcome, but we’ll probably send them to Mistral to play so that we can have the backyard.
Thank you and we’re looking forward to hearing from you, and gathering soon.
Warmest Regards,
AB
