When my father, Dominic Cortese, was in the State Legislature, he used to have these wonderful annual cioppino dinners that were enjoyed so many of us. I’m inspired to continue that tradition with an old-school, authentic Sicilian cioppino dinner. If you are new to Sicilian cuisine, cioppino is a delicious, traditional seafood stew.

California High School Democrats (CAHSD) is a statewide organization affiliated with the California Democratic Party and serves thousands of high school students across the state.

In 2022 – young people turned out in large numbers and demonstrated their impactful vote in elections. In preparation for the March Primary in 2024, the California High School Democrats are launching the Empowering the Leaders of Today: Tour Across California, in partnership with the Young & College Democrats, to rally students and young voters throughout California. On October 14th, our last rally will be held in San Jose, CA from 4 PM – 6 PM with party leaders and Democratic officials from across California as part of the program.
