This year’s event promises to be an engaging and empowering day, filled with mindful activities, educational workshops (including professional headshots!), and opportunities to share resources for equitable policy changes, leadership development, and tools to uplift women.

Since its inception in 2018, the Women’s Leadership and Policy Summit has been incredibly successful, filling to capacity each year with community leaders and allies who are passionate about women’s issues. This year, we are expecting 600 attendees, including elected officials, business and community leaders, and youth advocates.
The summit will include workshops on topics such as Women’s Economic Empowerment and Entrepreneurship, Nontraditional Career Paths, Equal Pay: Salary Negotiations, Women’s Overall Health, and more. Workshops will also be available in Spanish and Vietnamese.
In addition, awards will be presented to Honor the Women of Our Valley who have made outstanding contributions in various fields. We invite everyone to nominate deserving candidates for the following categories:
Lifetime Achievement Award: This award honors an individual who has made significant and enduring contributions throughout their career.
Unsung (S)hero: We want to recognize those who work tirelessly behind the scenes and deserve recognition for their selfless service.
Collaboration Award: This award acknowledges the power of teamwork in order to recognize groups who have achieved remarkable success.
Compassionate Leader: Help us celebrate leaders who lead with empathy and inspire positive change in their communities.
Equity & Inclusion Champion: Give recognition to those who have dedicated their lives to fighting against inequality and promoting equity and inclusion.
Food Systems Champion: Finally, we want to honor an individual or team that has made significant contributions to promoting sustainable food systems and reducing food insecurity.
