Seeking Applicants to Serve as our Director of Inclusion and Diversity!

In recent months, the Central Committee created a new director position on our Executive Board, the Director of Inclusion and Diversity.

The Director of Inclusion and Diversity is modeled on the Director of Gender Equity and the Status of Women and is intended to ensure we are inclusive and welcoming as a Democratic Party and that the full range of our community’s diversity is expressed and represented in elected and appointed positions in Santa Clara County.

The minimum commitments are attending and participating actively in our monthly Central Committee meetings (typically the first Thursday of each month) and Executive Board meetings (typically the third Wednesday of the month, 6pm-7:30pm), but importantly also forming a committee of members who will help with outreach, gathering data on current levels of representation among elected and appointed officials, and formulating and advancing Central Committee initiatives to address disparities.
