  • Adopted Bylaws Committee changes proposed at the June SCCDCC meeting as amended
  • Filled the AD 26 vacancy
    • Martin Pine and Milad Klaas were nominated
    • Martin Pine was elected
  • Endorsed “Yes on Save Our Public Hospitals”
  • Voted to support Vote16 Palo Alto
    • a youth-led effort to reduce the voting age to 16 in Palo Alto for municipal elections

Communications for Candidates 2025

Are you running for a local office in 2026, or considering it? Do you expect to work on a local campaign? Are you just curious?

The Santa Clara County Democratic Party and these Clubs:

Invite you to attend a presentation on “Communications for Candidates”.

SCCDP Communications Director John Comiskey will cover the basics of formulating your message and getting it out to voters. The presentation will consist of basic communication skills for first time and novice candidates, campaign volunteers, and others. More experienced attendees are welcome. 

Better candidates will run better campaigns, resulting in better office holders being elected. 

The presentation will be given the third Thursday each month from September through November from 7 PM until 9 PM. Those dates are 9/18, 10/16, and 11/20. The presentation is the same each time. You do not need to attend more than once.

The presentation will be given in person at the SCCDP headquarters at 2901 Moorpark Avenue, Suite 110, San Jose, CA 95128.
