Please join us and our Bay Area Coalition partners for our CD-22 Ballot Cure Phone Bank tomorrow, Saturday, 11/12, 10am-12:30pm. We’ll call Rudy Salas supporters whose ballots have not been counted due to some issue that they can fix within a limited period of time. We’ll make them aware of the problem and how to fix it.
The Salas Campaign has asked for our urgent help with their ballot cure work. The Salas Campaign Organizers will train us to call through their list of voters who have rejected ballots. They will follow-up our calls with canvassing door-to-door to help identified voters get their ballots to the Registrar’s office.
Rudy Salas trails in the count so far, but less than half the ballots have been counted, and Kern County, where Rudy has outperformed his opponent, has the bulk of them. But we can’t know how the remaining votes will go, so we need to get these rejected ballots counted.
In 2018, ballot curing provided the margin of victory to flip this seat from red to blue. Let’s do the work to flip it again!
