The State of California announced today that the County of Santa Clara has met the requirements to move into the Orange Tier of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy. As with the shift to the Red Tier on March 3, the County will continue to align with the State’s framework for Orange Tier activities. This allows Orange Tier activities to resume, effective Wednesday, March 24. However, many of these activities remain very high risk even though they are now allowed.

RBG would have been 89 years old on March 15, so let’s gather for a virtual brunch to celebrate the Supreme Queen and honor the work that she has championed to empower women everywhere. On Thursday, March 4, 2021, the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee took the following actions:

Afro Umoja Political Representation in Silicon Valley (AFRO-UPRIS) was approved as a Chartered Club.

SCCDP Directors and a Youth Representative were appointed.

Two resolutions were passed:

• Resolution Condemning the Recent Surge in Hate Crimes Targeting Asian Americans
• Resolution to Endorse SB 435 to End Online Sex Trafficking
