Join us for a fun, motivating, engaging, and always entertaining gathering of Democratic elected officials and activists.

We’re trying out a Sunday brunch schedule and format for this “off cycle” year, but we promise some surprises and all the fun and excitement of our dinner events.

We have a number of Early Bird tickets available for a limited time and while supplies last, after which prices will increase as discounted tickets sell out and the event date nears.

Funds support our permanent headquarters office as well as our election slate mailers and our efforts to elect Democrats in Central Valley swing House districts that could decide control of the House in 2026.
Don’t delay!  Early Bird ticket purchases help us make the deposit payments due monthly between now and the event.

Save the date.  Get your tickets.  Invite your friends.

Rose, White & Blue Parade 2025

Help celebrate the 4th of July by walking with our contingent in the Rose, White & Blue Parade.

We’ll gather in the staging area near Lincoln High School, 555 Dana Ave, San Jose, CA 95126, at about 9:45am. The parade starts at 10am and we’ll be done by noon. Plenty of time to make it to your afternoon or evening BBQ!

This year, we’re inviting our chartered Democratic Clubs to join us. If a club has two or more members in attendance, they can carry a small banner or sign with their club name and contact information. No political messages please, other than identifying your club, as the parade doesn’t permit them.

We always have a great time at this event, and we’re well received by our supportive fans along the parade route.

Sign up here to join us.  Email sccdp.hq@gmail.com if you have any questions.

June 2025 Central Committee Recap

On Thursday, June 5, 2025, the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee took the following actions:

Youth Takeover – July 10, 2025

As progressives and Democrats, we know that the future depends on the young. And, in recent years, young people have proven their mettle by stepping up to lead progressive movements to address the climate crisis, reduce gun violence, protect members of the LGBTQ+ community, end police mistreatment of people of color, and more.

To honor, activate, and train young leaders in our local area, our regular monthly meeting of the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee on July 10, 2025, 7pm-9pm, will be a “Youth Takeover” meeting, in which the elected and appointed delegates of the Central Committee will take a seat and allow youth delegates to conduct the meeting, including by introducing, debating, and adopting resolutions. At the end of the meeting, the resolutions adopted by the youth delegates will be considered by the Central Committee as a consent calendar, and those items not pulled from consent will be adopted by the Central Committee as the official positions of the Santa Clara County Democratic Party.

To facilitate more active and meaningful engagement with and among our youth leaders, the Youth Takeover meeting will be an in person event and will be held at San Jose City College, 2100 Moorpark Ave, San Jose, CA 95128.

If you know of a high school aged young person who may be interested in participating in our Youth Takeover, please send them the attached flyer and/or direct them to the online registration form.

If you have any questions about the Youth Takeover, please feel free to contact us at youthtakeover@sccdp.org.

Housing Not Handcuffs Rally & City Hall Mtg

We as a Community keep each other safe and must hold our elected officials responsible for caring for the people in our community.

Please attend  Rally outside  at 4:30pm then at 6pm enter City Hall Chambers and fillout comment card and prepare 1 minute testimony on the below topics:

1. Rebuke the Responsibility to Shelter Policy, do not criminalize or force into mental/behavioral health treatment people who have survived the City of San Jose’s failures at building adequate very low and extremely low income affordable housing in accordance with the Housing Element requirements and RHNA goals. Especially, Black, Latinx, and Indigenous residents that are disproportionately unhoused and incarcerated.

2. Stop the Sweeps, they are ineffective displacing folks from one area to the next, further exacerbating the problem, and traumatizing folks, tearing communities and networks of survival apart. Furthermore, it does not end homelessness and it is a tremendous waste of our tax paying money.

3. Fund TRUST 24/7, enough funding for TRUST (Trusted Response Urgent Support Team), which is a team of people with lived experience, mental/behavioral health specialist, and social worker who assists anyone who is a having a mental health or substance use crisis and does not include an armed law enforcement officer. Call: (408)-596-7290 to be directly connected with a TRUST Team.

4. Protect Measure E Funding for Permanent Supportive Housing, providing people with housing and a team of support is what ends homelessness. Yes, we need shelters, interim housing, and housing that adequately matches peoples’ needs, we need it all but especially, permanent supportive housing so that people can have a forever home in this city. This is something that the people of Santa Clara County voted in favor of and that needs to be honored and respected and taken seriously as a solution and therefore, it’s funding not siphoned off for quick short term fixes.

5. Fund the Rapid Response Network and Protect our Immigrant Communities.

Thank  You!!
