The filing period for District-Level Delegates to the 2024 Democratic National Convention is now closed.
The voter registration form to participate in the District-Level Causes is NOW OPEN and will close on April 11. Register to vote at cadem.org/chicago-delegate.
Eligible voter participants MUST be California Democrats registered to vote in the same CA Congressional District as the Delegate candidates they are voting for. Any voter not automatically verified when they apply will be provided steps at the end of the voter registration application process to verify their democratic registration.
Once verified as eligible to vote, every voter will be issued a Participant Identification Number (PIN) after registering as a voter. The PIN must be entered on the electronic ballot for the ballot to be counted.
Candidates will automatically be issued a ballot for the Congressional District they are running in and do not need to complete the voter registration ballot request form.
Beginning on Friday, April 19, 2024, all electronic ballots will be sent to all participants to the email they applied with. All participants will have 48 hours to cast their ballots before the ballot period closes on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 5PM.
Following the close of the balloting period, CADEM staff will tally the votes and post the list of elected District-Level Delegates to the CADEM website. Elected District-Level Delegates will also be sent an email notice of their election results.An email will be sent to all candidates and voter participants when the final tally of the votes is posted on the CADEM website.

We chartered the new South Asian American Democratic Coalition, heard about a joint Candidate Training series with San Mateo County, ongoing phone banks for Central Valley Congressional seats, the upcoming Central Valley fundraiser on May 11, the upcoming SBLC/COPE fundraiser on May 18, club reports, and officer and director reports.Â
The San Mateo County Democratic Party and the Santa Clara County Democratic Party have joined together to offer a Candidate Training program to help prepare Democratic candidates to run for office. This course will run from April 26th – June 14th. Classes will be held Fridays from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM via Zoom. To apply, please fill out this form.
