On Thursday, August 4, 2022, the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee took the following actions:

Brenda Zendejas was elected to fill a vacancy on the SCCDCC in the new AD 25 and Jason Park was elected to fill a vacancy on the CADEM Executive Board, We voted to support SB 866, a bill to allow minors to receive vaccinations without requiring parental consent, heard a request for funding for a Democratic presence at Silicon Valley PRIDE, and updates on the draft EIR regarding Juristac, upcoming Campaigns, Organizing, and SCCDCC endorsements for the November 8, 2022 General Election, and the September 23, 2022 Democratic Victory Dinner at Hayes Mansion.

Dean Democratic Club Ballot Propositions Extravaganza

Dean Club Members will be making presentations of each of the November Ballot Propositions on August 15, 2022, at 7:00 PM, conducting a straw poll, and voting on endorsements of the propositions at our August 22, 2022 meeting.

The presentations and endorsements will be done at hybrid meetings, in person at the Headquarters, and online on Zoom.  The straw poll will be conducted online using a Google Form.  The results of the straw poll will serve as a consent calendar at the endorsement meeting.  Members will review the results and make a final determination of the endorsements.

July 2022 Central Committee Recap

On Thursday, July 7, 2022, the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee Held its annual Youth Takeover meeting.

Under a special rule, control of the meeting was handed off to the Youth Delegates, who proposed, debated, and passed eight resolutions. The regular Voting Members of the Central Committee then considered the resolutions as a consent calendar and adopted them as actions of the Central Committee by unanimous consent.

The Youth Delegates are to be commended for conducting a brisk, efficient, and substantive meeting, bringing their voices to the Central Committee and the Democratic Party members of Santa Clara County. Their enthusiasm and precision bode well for the future of the Party.
