On Thursday, July 7, 2022, the Santa Clara County Democratic Central Committee Held its annual Youth Takeover meeting.
Under a special rule, control of the meeting was handed off to the Youth Delegates, who proposed, debated, and passed eight resolutions. The regular Voting Members of the Central Committee then considered the resolutions as a consent calendar and adopted them as actions of the Central Committee by unanimous consent.
The Youth Delegates are to be commended for conducting a brisk, efficient, and substantive meeting, bringing their voices to the Central Committee and the Democratic Party members of Santa Clara County. Their enthusiasm and precision bode well for the future of the Party.
